Project Overview

Markham Curbless Bathroom Renovation In this Toronto Markham home renovation project, Reno Compass transformed an aging bathroom into a modern, minimalist, and highly functional space that enhances both style, daily living and the property’s value. Highlights of this renovation include: Curbless Shower: A seamless, step-free shower design improves accessibility and inclusivity. It also gives the bathroom a sleek, modern flow that feels open and spacious. Double-Sink Vanity: The floating double-sink vanity provides ample storage while saving floor space. It makes mornings more efficient for couples and keeps the room clutter-free. Freestanding Bathtub: Placed beneath natural light, the freestanding tub creates a sculptural focal point. It offers a spa-like retreat for relaxation and comfort at home. Half Wall Design: The half wall runs through the shower and bathtub, intuitively improving usability while keeping the layout minimalist and balanced. Minimalist Style with Warm Colour: Clean lines, neutral tones, and warm accents complete the design. The result is a calming, timeless atmosphere that feels both modern and inviting. This bathroom renovation is more than an interior renovation—it’s a lifestyle upgrade that combines functionality, beauty, and everyday comfort. Project Location: Markham, Toronto Contractor: Reno Compass Inc.

Markham Interior Renovation Layout Transformation Main Floor: Removed the load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room to open up the space and extend the island. Demolished the original powder room and partition walls to make the living room more spacious. Converted the laundry room by the garage entrance into a powder room with a shower — perfect for seniors or quick rinses. Second Floor: Bathrooms, bathrooms, and more bathrooms! Upgraded from “4 bedrooms and 3 baths” to “4 bedrooms and 4 baths,” giving each bedroom its own ensuite for better privacy and added home value. Converted the hallway space into a new laundry room while keeping the den’s usable area. The owner says this is their favorite upgrade — no more carrying baskets of laundry up and down the stairs! Staircase: The most “magical” change — the staircase was reversed and redesigned as a steel-structure floating staircase from the main floor to the basement, adding openness and modern style. Skylights: Added 3 skylights in the second-floor hallway and primary ensuite, ensuring bright natural light even without turning on the lights during the day. The second-floor den is now the perfect spot to sip coffee and read a book — instant cozy vibes! Color & Materials Main Palette: Warm natural wood tones with black accents for a modern, minimalist, yet inviting feel. Paint: Benjamin Moore OC-17 White Dove. Tiles: Kitchen and bathrooms upgraded to large-format porcelain tiles with stone textures from Olympia Tile — combining elegance and easy maintenance.
