Project Overview

This renovation project focused on transforming one of the home's most prominent architectural features — the grand curved staircase and surrounding flooring. The existing staircase was redesigned with custom white oak treads, solid oak handrails, and decorative black metal pickets to create a more modern and sophisticated appearance. By combining natural wood tones with clean white finishes and contemporary metal details, the staircase became a striking focal point within the home's two-storey foyer. To complement the new staircase design, new flooring was installed throughout the main and second floors. The updated flooring creates a seamless visual transition between spaces while enhancing brightness, openness, and overall design consistency throughout the home. Special attention was given to preserving the elegant curved staircase structure while upgrading every visible finish. The result is a refined and timeless design that balances warmth, functionality, and modern aesthetics. Together, the staircase and flooring transformation significantly elevated the home's interior character, creating a welcoming entrance and a cohesive living environment that reflects contemporary design standards.
